1. The service
These terms apply to the MyCATPrep website, preparation guides and study tracker. By using the service, you agree to these terms. If you do not agree, do not use the service.
MyCATPrep is an independent workspace for recording CAT preparation, reviewing progress and receiving optional study guidance. It is not an official CAT service, an IIM admissions service, a coaching course or a provider of practice questions and mock tests.
2. Your account
You may read public guides and preview a plan without signing in. An account is required to save study work. Use an account you are authorised to control, provide accurate information and protect your sign-in credentials. Do not impersonate another person or access someone else’s preparation records.
You are responsible for activity you authorise through your account and for signing out on shared devices. You must be legally able to agree to these terms. The service does not currently provide a parental-consent workflow.
3. Preparation guidance
Plans and recommendations depend on the evidence you provide, your goals, availability and the rules used by the service. Missing, inaccurate or outdated evidence can make guidance less useful. Review recommendations and use your own judgment when choosing study actions.
Recorded time, syllabus coverage and task completion are not proof of mastery. MyCATPrep does not guarantee a score, percentile, interview call, admission or other examination outcome. It does not predict an exact CAT percentile.
Public preparation guides are general educational information. Exam dates, eligibility, question counts, marking and application processes can change. Confirm examination details with the official CAT website. Any illustrative study records shown on marketing pages are examples, not student results or testimonials.
4. Your records and materials
You retain your rights in the study records and original notes you submit. You authorise MyCATPrep and its service providers to store and process that information as needed to operate the tracker, generate progress views and recommendations, and deliver features you choose to use, as described in the Privacy Policy.
Submit only information you have the right to use. Use your own lawfully obtained books, questions, coaching resources and mock tests for study. Do not submit content that infringes someone else’s rights or includes unnecessary personal information about others.
5. Acceptable use
- Use the service for lawful preparation and personal study tracking.
- Do not attempt to bypass authentication, ownership checks, usage restrictions or other security measures.
- Do not introduce malicious code, disrupt the service, overload it with automated requests or extract other users’ information.
- Do not use the service to harass, defraud or impersonate others, or to facilitate examination misconduct.
- Do not misrepresent MyCATPrep as an official examination authority or claim its guidance guarantees results.
6. Availability and changes
The current tracker is free to use. An internet connection and a supported modern browser are needed for account features. We may change, add, limit or discontinue features, and the service may be unavailable during maintenance or an outage. No uptime or data-recovery guarantee is offered.
Keep independent copies of important source results and preparation records. Account-wide self-service export and deletion are not currently available. The archive at the previous tracker page only covers older browser-stored data and is not automatically imported into the current tracker.
If paid features are introduced, their price and any additional terms must be presented before you choose to purchase them. These terms do not authorise an automatic charge.
7. Third-party services and links
Authentication, hosting, storage, analytics and optional email delivery use third-party services described in the Privacy Policy. External websites and preparation providers operate under their own terms. Linking to them does not guarantee the accuracy or availability of their content, or imply endorsement.
8. Website content
MyCATPrep’s name, design, software and original editorial content are protected by applicable intellectual-property rights. You may use the public guides for personal preparation and share links to them. These terms do not grant rights to resell the service, reproduce substantial website content commercially or use its branding in a way that implies endorsement. Third-party names and trademarks remain their owners’ property.
9. Limitations and your rights
The service and educational guidance are provided on an “as available” basis. To the extent permitted by applicable law, we do not warrant that the service will be uninterrupted, error-free or suitable for every preparation need.
To the extent permitted by applicable law, MyCATPrep is not responsible for indirect or consequential losses arising from use of the service, reliance on preparation guidance, service interruptions or loss of data. Nothing in these terms excludes liability or consumer, privacy or other rights that cannot lawfully be excluded.
10. Ending use and access
You may stop using the service at any time. Access may be restricted where reasonably necessary to address a security threat, abuse, unlawful activity or a breach of these terms.
Stopping use or signing out does not automatically delete saved records. See the privacy controls and data-request information for current limitations.
11. Updates to these terms
The date at the top identifies the current version. Terms may be revised when the service changes. Revisions do not remove rights that applicable law gives you, and new paid services require a separate purchase decision.
